The Candidates

Seven political parties are registered for this years ACT election:

There will also be a number of Independent canditates running.

Three of these parties have seats in the current Assembly; The Australian Labor Party (8), the Liberal Party of Australia (7), and the ACT Greens (4).

  1. Karl Maftoum (ALP) doesn’t live in the electorate of Brindabella.

    I morally think candidates need to live in the electorate they hope to represent.

    Maftoum is another example of more lazy would-be politicians taking short cuts before they even get into office. Maftoum has already let down the electorate of Brindabella and he hasn’t even been elected an MLA!

  2. I agree. Candidates suck who don’t want to be with the people who they demand votes from. Anyone else other than Karl Maftoum not living in their electorate??????
